Essential oils
 Essential oils are the natural plant extracts that give plants their vitality and health and help fend off disease and insect attack. These oils are extracted from various parts of the plants (leaves, flowers, fruits, seeds wood or roots) by either hydrodistillation or cold pressing. Most essential oils are highly aromatic due to the volatile nature of their component parts. Not all plants and species contain essential oils and some plants contain more than one. If this is the case, the oils from that one plant will contain common properties as well as some individual properties. Each plant has unique characteristics and its own molecular make up giving the different aromas of each essential oil. The plants are carefully harvested and the oil is extracted and nothing else is added to it.

Vegetable and liquid carrier oils
These are the fixed, non-volatile oils produced by the cold pressing of nuts, seeds and legumes. The are often used as a dispersant for essential oils and in cosmetics for their excellent moisturising properties. An oil which has not been refined to remove colour and odour by filtering or bleaching processes is know as a virgin oil and is generally considered to be the purest form. Unlike essential oils that are relatively stable over long periods of time vegetable oils are subject to oxidation and should be stored in airtight containers away from heat and light.

Raw materials
 Aloe Vera Gel, an excellent soothing anti-inflammatory effect, used in cosmetics, balms gels etc.
Cocoa butter is used as a natural skin-soothing cosmetic., it helps prevent the formation of scars when skin is cut or injured. Science now tells us the reason for this healing process is due to cocoa butter's beneficial effect on the growth of collagen in our skin and provides a barrier that helps retain and restore the moisture that your skin loses from cleansing and exposure to the elements. Cocoa butter is highly recommended for the prevention of stretch marks and may improve the appearance of pre existing stretch marks.
Shea Butter has been used in Africa for centuries, an excellent addition to moisturiser for a variety of skin conditions. It has an in built sun screen due to its cinnamic acid and Vitamin F content. Shea is an excellent cell regenerator, aids healing of sun burnt and damaged skin. Can be beneficial for eczema, dry skin, muscle tension, wrinkles, stretch marks both prevention and to reduce the appearance of pre existing marks. It is also used for Liver spots and other irregular pigmentation of the skin.
Lannette wax a natural waxy substance capable of being added to a mixture of oil and water. When heated it becomes a milky looking liquid, but when cooled, it becomes a cosmetic cream. This has many superior qualities compared with other waxes especially when compared to Beeswax which is very difficult to add any liquid i.e. herbal infusions, rosewater etc.
Grapefruit seed extract increases the shelf life of moisturisers and cleansers it is a safe and highly effective preservative.
Amiox Rosemary extract, increases the shelf life of moisturisers and cleansers it is a safe and highly effective preservative.
Vitamin A palmitate, Use in natural skin care products and blends to improve the appearance of the skin and to assist with various skin conditions.
Vitamin E (Alpha-tocopherol) is an excellent antioxidant, it protects polyunsaturated fats in the body from oxidation, maintains the integrity of vitamin A in the body and promotes normal clotting of blood and cell regeneration. An excellent addition to a massage blend, it will increase the shelf life as well as providing nourishment to the skin.
Vitamin C Ascorbic acid, can be used as a face peel when combined with citric acid
Vegetable Glycerine a clear, colourless syrupy liquid which has a sweet warm taste. It is hydroscopic (absorbs water) and imparts that when used in preparations such as creams, lotions, deodorants and beauty milks. It give flexibility to creams as well as toothpaste etc.
Witch-hazel an excellent astringent, used in creams, toners, for bruises & swelling.
Rosewater is a gentle, cleansing soothing infusion, used for balancing and regenerating tired irritated skin.
West Australian Hydrosols can be used as toners ether neat or with a few drops of additional essential oil. Hydrosols are excellent for compresses, to clean and disinfect open wounds. They make fabulously refreshing spritzers especially if stored in the fridge, they can also be used in natural skin care products & as a mouth wash for oral thrush.
Rock salts can be used to cleanse and detoxify the body, use in the Body polishes, bath or in foot soaks for swelling or when need to cleanse the body or the atmosphere. Comes in Coarse semi coarse and Fine.
Seaweed extract use in the bath or in skin care products to cleanse and detoxify the body.
Seaweed Powder use in the bath, foot soaks poultices and body polishing preparations
Pumice powder, use for a gentle abrasive action, ideal for soaps, cleansers etc.
Dead Sea Salts, detoxifying add to the bath foot soaks body polishes etc.
Walnut Shell abrasive a gentle abrasive, used in body polish and facial exfoliates.

 Eclipse shower gels
The base for our shower gels is from the Yucca plant; our gel contains no sodium laurel sulphate and is highly recommended for dry, sensitive and allergy prone skins. The base is gently enough to use for face, hands and body. Leaves the skin feeling, soft, smooth and clean without stripping the skin of its natural oils. Once you have used this you will never want to go back to using soap again.

Pulse points come in a 10 ml roll on applicator. Clay
Active French Clay
Argiletz Active clays are pure products, rich in minerals, which work in synergy to cleanse, tone and revitalise your skin, hair and body. Clay can be used for face-masks, poultices and for internal ingestion*.
* It is advisable to attend Eclipse Clay workshop before commencing internal ingestion of clay.
Green Clay
Probably one of the most used of all clays. It contains a higher percentage of trace elements than the other clays. It has an intense drawing effect on toxins and foreign bodies within the body. Green clay is an excellent exfoliant, astringent and purifier, it is especially useful for oily & congested skin, great to apply to pimples and for any skin type that needs a pick me up.
Red Clay
Red clay is more oily than green clay but is less absorbing.. Red clay may be used for refining the texture of the skin, calming inflammation and a bacteriostatic. It is most suitable for post - acne, mature, dehydrated, tired and stressed skin and may also be used for black rings around the eyes.. Red clay is recommended for use in the bath.
Yellow Clay
Yellow clay is found in areas near to red clay. It is made up of fine particles of Iron oxides, it is similar to the action of green clay but has a gentler action on the skin. It is suitable for most skin types, especially useful for sun damaged, oily, couperose, combination & fatigued skins
White Clay
White clay is kaolinite. It comes from areas washed by running water. White is the least drawing of the clays, and is useful for sensitive skin. It is widely used in the manufacture of creams and masks. It has a high percentage of Aluminum silicate giving it exceptional healing properties. White clay can be used in place of talcum powder and is also the most appropriate for fine lines and wrinkles. Most suitable for sensitive, elderly or very young skin
Pink Clay
Pink clay refines the texture of the skin. It improves the softness and has a tonifying effect on the skin. It acts as a bacteriostatic, is calming to inflammation and has cytophylactic (cell regenerating) properties. Most suitable to dehydrated and sensitive skin. Pink clay is a combination of red & white clays

Essential oil electric vapourisers
 Eclipse recommend the use of vapouriser that do not require water, while candle burners may add a touch of romance to the art of vapourising essential oils , Eclipse recommend that for safety, you do not use candle burners around babies; small children and animals. Recently there has been a surge in the variety of electric vapourisers available commercially. Most still require water to reduce the temperature, Eclipse is not in favour of these type of vapouriser and currently only stocks The Aqua Free Brand. The unit is thermostatically controlled so that there is no need for water thus, increasing the safety and effectiveness of this unit. If you are purchasing quality essential oils you do not want to ruin them by exposing them to excess heating. Aqua Free is an Australian owned and run company.
The Aqua Free vapouriser is a safe and effective way to gain the benefits of essential oils throughout your home. It cost approx. 10 c per week to run continuously. Before leaving home in the morning add 8 drops of you chosen oil to your vapouriser, when you return home you will be greeted by the beautiful aroma permeating your home - what a wonderful welcome!.

Eclipse has a number of synergies that are ideal for the vapouriser. We have prepared these to make it easy for you to create that special ambience. You may want to vapourise oils whilst meditating or exercising (Yoga synergy) Of course you can design your own perfect aroma and the vapouriser is a great way to explore the thousands of aroma combinations available to you - all you need is a few oils and a little imagination.
A synergy is a concentrated blend of 100 % Pure & Natural Essential oils skillfully blended together to create a harmonious blending of essential oils. Our synergies come in 10 ml bottle and can be added to vegetable oils, body lotions, shower gels, skin care products or used in the vapouriser and Spritzers.
